98-99 без snow plow

Наоборот, редуктора из пакета опций snow plow имеют 3.5 оборота от упора до упора и больший угол поворота сошки. собственно цитаты с форума NAXJA:

Part#277580 No need to do any mod to this box. Thus the PLOW option IS the you want and NOT the other way around. I have personally ran both now. This box with an 04 WJ pump is awesome! -B

The amount of turns from lock to lock on the non-plow is 2 15/16, and for the Plow it is 3 3/8. the throw is definitely greater on the plow box. it never made sense why the nonplow would be the recommended one. seems if a plow is on the front you'd need more power, which this box has in spades!

if you buy a reman using the part # 277580 you will get the plow option with the benefits i mentioned.
if you buy the reman using part# 277588, you will get the non-plow with the bad turning radius and less power. plain and simple. after buying and trying both part numbers i can attest to this. one thing to note; there is no difference in the numbers stamped on the case, so if you grab your box from the wrecker you won't know which is which until you try the gear itself. but if you buy a reman using the correct part number, i'm betting you'll see the same results. i also found that the plow option is only available on the 98 Durango and not the 99

The parts store where i purchased both gears (Lordco), didn't list the plow as an option and said there was only one choice #277588. i tracked down the plow option part # 277580 (98 only) and had them bring it in.
The parts i tested were A1-Cardone. If you use part# 277580 (plow) you "should" end up with the correct box. Do not use part# 277588 as this is the box with the 2 15/16. you can see the specs of the gears online at NAPA.

i disagree with the folks who say that the non-plow is correct. even if i did do the mod to increase the throw on the first box, i still would not have the power that the plow box has. its literally night and day, extremely noticeable. there is no point doing the durango box mod with the 99 non-plow gear as the upgrade is minimal at best.

Thus, use part #277580 and ensure the # of turns (3 3/8) is correct and you'll be good to go

Собственно человек пишет о том, что поставил сначала редуктор от дюранго 98г. без пакета опций snow plow и получил меньший угол поворота колес, потом он заменил его на редуктор от машины с опцией snow plow package и радиус поворота пришел в норму.
