an hp dana 30 is a high pinion dana 30. High pinion gearsets are 1/4-1/3 stronger than low pinion gear sets. The reason they are stronger is because while driving forward, the gears mesh on the drive side (as apposed to the coast side). The result is much less gear deflection and housing flex, which will keep your gears from going boom. Also, high pinion axles have way more clearance under the driveshaft so you aren't spinning it on rocks.
